Latin text Ego infelix peccator confiteor Deo Patri omnipotenti, beatae Mariae, beato Petro, beato Paulo et omnibus sanctis me graviter peccasse in lege Dei mei visu, verbo, opere. Peccavi: miserere mei, Domine, miserere mei.

English translation Unhappy sinner that I am, I confess to God the Father almighty, St Mary, St Peter, St Paul and all the saints that I have sinned gravely by sight and in my words and deeds. I have sinned: have mercy on me, Lord, have mercy.
